The Cleveland Orchestra has a long history in supporting education and in promoting musical activities and endeavors. This advocacy includes adult choruses to collaborate with the Orchestra in performance, as well as a community chorus and youth choruses.

Cleveland Orchestra Chorus

The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus is one of the few professionally trained, all-volunteer choruses sponsored by a major American orchestra. Hailing from nearly 50 northeast Ohio communities, the group’s 130 members volunteer more than 30,000 hours annually through rehearsals and performances.

MLK Community Chorus

The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Chorus is a volunteer community chorus assembled each year since 1989 to sing as part of The Cleveland Orchestra's annual MLK Celebration Concert.

The Blossom Festival Chorus has since established itself as a permanent and beloved annual part of the Blossom Festival and has sung well over 100 concerts since its 1968 debut.

Youth Chorus (COYC)

The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus is open to students in grades 9 through 12. Choristers are selected by competitive audition and regularly perform at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Concert Hall and community venues across greater Cleveland.

Cleveland Orchestra Children's Chorus (COCC)

Established in 1966, the Cleveland Orchestra Children's Chorus performs annually with The Cleveland Orchestra on Christmas concerts and major orchestral works at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Concert Hall.

Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Preparatory Chorus (COCPC)

Open to students in grades 5 through 8, the Preparatory Chorus focuses on establishing a foundation of vocal technique, musical literacy, and musicianship through quality children's choir literature. No audition required.
