This website is maintained by the staff of The Cleveland Orchestra for the primary purpose of providing information about The Orchestra’s performance schedule, and to allow visitors to purchase individual performance tickets via secure transactions across the internet.

Information Collection and Use

Any and all information collected by this site is the sole property of The Cleveland Orchestra and the Musical Arts Association. This information will not be sold or disclosed to any other party except as noted herein.

Information Gathered Automatically

The web servers hosting our site collect some information about visitors to our site automatically. This information is compiled anonymously in server statistics logs to help us identify how visitors are using our site and how we may improve our service.

The type of information gathered in this manner may include, but is not limited to:

  • the date of the visit to the site.
  • the length of time spent browsing the site.
  • the domain name and/or ISP address used to visit the site: (ATT, TimeWarner, etc.)
  • the type of browser(s) being used to access the site: (IE, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
  • the type of operating system(s) used: (Windows and MAC operating systems)
  • Please note that email addresses are not automatically gathered.

Information You Provide

1. Email Address

By providing your email you allow us to contact you in a more efficient, cost effective and green way. When you create an account, order tickets or buy merchandise online and provide us your email address, your address is added to our email database. You will begin receiving information on concerts and events including schedule changes, parking alerts, area restaurants and other information related to your concert experience.

If you do not wish to receive these email communications you may choose to opt-out at anytime. Simply click the unsubscribe link located at the end of each email or call the Severance Ticket Office at 216-231-1111.

Please note that if you opt out of receiving promotional emails from us, we may still communicate with you for other purposes such as order and purchase confirmation and customer service response.

2. Demographic and Financial Information

When ordering tickets or merchandise online from The Cleveland Orchestra website, we will require you to fill out an online order form which may include information such as name, billing address, shipping address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, credit card number, and expiration date. This information is used to process your transaction. If the ticket office or store staff has a problem processing your order, this information may also be used to contact you.

All demographic information (name, mailing address, email address, etc.) relating to ticket purchases is entered and stored in the box office ticketing system. Financial information (credit card number and expiration) is used for processing the transaction only, and is not stored in the system for future transactions. Merchandise sales transactions are processed through the Point of Sale terminals in The Cleveland Orchestra Store. This system is used only for processing sales transactions and inventory management, and does not store credit card information.

3. Contests

From time to time, The Cleveland Orchestra may offer online contests for tickets or other similar prizes in cooperation with another arts organization, radio station, newspaper, or website. When this occurs, the information gathered online is shared by The Cleveland Orchestra and the contest partner organization.
